Santa Ana homicide history and case outcomes

The expanded archive includes the 2004 deaths of Tuyet Le and Jennifer Cu, and the separate shopping-center shooting that killed Olga Sarabia and Jose Huerta. Later records include Sam Chea, Jorge Diaz, Mario Hernandez Jr., Paul Guzman and Carrie Beckett.

Follow the reported legal outcome

Steven Christian Lucero and Jillian Alise Jones were killed in June 2022. The later June 2026 report describes voluntary manslaughter pleas and a 14-year sentence rather than murder convictions. Roberto Rubio’s record concerns a DUI-related murder conviction; he was a passenger, despite an inaccurate headline calling him a pedestrian.

Incident dates and delayed deaths

Aaron William Parks and Maria Del Refugio Mora died days after their attacks. Their records use the attack date and explain the later death. Eduardo Rigoberto Bustamante’s charging report distinguishes an October 21 killing from October 22 discovery at Delhi Park.

Recent cases and limits

Recent entries include Adrian Torres, Yatin Ramaraju, John Albert Guillen, Eusebio Villareal and Marlon Jaime Castillo. Shared incidents count each victim but exclude surviving people. Santa Ana courthouse announcements about crimes elsewhere are not assigned to this city merely because of their dateline.

Santa Ana’s 2007 police annual report lists 21 homicides in 2006 and 29 in 2007 on printed page 13. These published totals demonstrate missing coverage here. They are not directly interchangeable with directory counts, which can include different date bases and DUI-related murder prosecutions.

Understanding the reported case status

Statuses are dated snapshots of police, court or news reports. Arrests and charges do not establish guilt. A conviction may later change on appeal; a historic sentence is not a present-custody claim. The directory includes homicide cases with reported manslaughter outcomes and separately labels DUI-related murder cases.

How this directory is built

About the Santa Ana homicide data

Records are checked against official material and established reporting. Dates of discovery are distinguished from dates of attack. A source’s reported arrest or verdict is dated; no later outcome is assumed. Precise coordinates are left unset when the location is uncertain.

Is this a complete homicide total?

No. These 53 victim records are a research collection across multiple decades, not all homicides in Santa Ana. The absence of a record does not mean a death did not occur.

Why are there no map pins?

Coordinates have not been verified. Written locations and source links remain available for every record.

Does every Santa Ana prosecutor release belong on this page?

No. The incident location controls inclusion. A Santa Ana court hearing or press-release dateline is not evidence that the killing occurred in Santa Ana.
